Fire Your Inner Critic
How often do you hear your inner-critic telling you all the things you did wrong, that you’ll never be as good as so-and-so, blah, blah, blah. It’s a wildly effective self-defense mechanism (if we’re hard on ourselves, no one can hurt us more) that leaves us severely lacking in confidence, conviction and inner-peace.
ENOUGH ALREADY! Let’s turn the month of love on its head and show some love to ourselves by giving our inner-critic a well-deserved break!
Pick something your inner-critic harps on and go on a fact-finding mission: What’s true about his critique, really? Based on what’s not true, how will you soften judgement? Based on what’s true, what will you adjust? How will you reframe this critique going forward?
This kind of inward exploration is at the heart of self-love. Learn from what he’s telling you, but don’t just believe it. ‘Cause based on the exercise you just did – it’s probably not an entirely fair critique
